I have been making this for years. My family calls it "four-bowls soup" because the first time my wife tasted it, she liked it so much that she ate four bowls.

Mark I bought a Keurig also and love it.I look forward to my morning cup even though I own a bakery and have an espresso machine at work.I use Cafe Bustelo espresso grind in the adapter cup and it is great. I really like how hot the coffee is also.

I tried this recipe with chicken, eggs, onions, mushrooms, broccoli and red pepper and it was wonderful. My 15 year old used-to-be-picky eater had two platefuls! Thanks!

Where's the recipes? I'm dying for some BUT I AM DIABETIC and can't have things with coffee creamer (yikes...all that trans fat) or too many fruits. Is there anything good to be made in this blender under these circumstances?

Sorry Barbara, I'm behind on posting recipes. I use sugar-free non-dairy creamer - but I don't know how it is with trans-fats. We make a lot of soups in it with fresh veggies.

I have made a sweet and sour cabbage borscht from my mom's recipe for 30 years now. Bone in beef short ribs work great but must be trimmed and refrigerated and then skim the fat off the top. I use much more sugar but again I make enough for freezing and 15 people. Huge pot and I use 2 cups of sugar minimum 5 large cans of 2 each stewed tomatoes and 3 each whole tomatoes with juice and 2 cut up chuck roasts or many pounds of short ribs (loads of meat). Throw it all in the pot for as long as you can but add cabbage last. This is a meal in itself with the meat.

Any chance of getting the Diabetic exchange values? This sounds SO good! Thanks!

I really have no experience with calculating those, but there are two "sugars" in it - maltitol in the Carb Safe bar (44 gr in the whole bar) and 1/4 cup of Splenda.

I rate the hot chocolate 2 stars, because it's just not chocolatey enough. 1/2 coffee plus 1/2 hot chocolate is delicious, however.
